This seems such an obvious thing I don't know why it hasn't been mentioned before.

When you compare the board to the schematic, and you get that old error "pads don't match in NET xxx"
Do you think it would be too much to actually highlight the parts that don't match ?

Its a pain in the backside having to go through the entire net looking for that one pad that doesn't match up...
