It would be convenient to have another type of component's marking - text field from additional properties. It can help to add captions for connectors and LEDs. I use "value" for this, but this leads to multiple positions in BOM.

You can use additional fields. They can be added to BOM and displayed on schematic in the same way as value or RefDes.

Thank you, Alex, I've tried this before, but found not relevant item in "Marking" combo-box. As I see now, it appears only after component's update, and displayed for all components (having another type too).
