Re: Compress on library export

Rings a bell... Here's a thread about this from a little over a year ago. It's a design decision: https://www.diptrace.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=12322&p=25012&hilit=negative#p25012 Here's a couple of excerpts from the thread: Alex: >>>>>>>>>> 2. (Number -1) means deleted pad. It's of...

Re: Automatically delete bypassed trace

I gave up a while ago and just delete the old before starting another, then I found out it deletes the net too... I'm sure you are no doubt already aware of this but for those following along that aren't: One option is that you can select 'Unroute Segment' (which saves the ratline) instead of delet...

Re: Nets containing only one pin - Hidden warning converting schematic to pcb

We tried to reproduce the problem but the warning message appears above the splash screen. In any case, you can press Enter on keyboard to close the warning window even though it appears behind the splash screen for you. Right... that is all great in retrospect... if you already know to do that. Ho...

Nets containing only one pin - Hidden warning converting schematic to pcb

There is a warning message that pops up underneath the splash screen when converting a schematic to a pcb that has a net that contains only one pin. The warning message holds the focus and since the warning message is behind the splash screen you cannot get to it to click on the OK button. In other ...

Problems with Diptrace mounting holes and 3D models.

Any 3D model attached to a copied mounting hole won't 'stick' and you loose both models after making the copy. 1. Open the PCB editor 2. Place a board outline 3. Place a mounting hole on the pcb 4. Attach a 3D model of your choice to the hole (any model will do... it's not important) 5. Run '3D' &am...

Re: TEST POINT

Howard,

The ones I have here have the colored bases. I don't have the plain ones without the colored bases. Let me know if this is what you're looking for and if you haven't found them I can upload them. I have all 10 colors in these 3 sizes.

Re: Net port patterns

Net ports aren't actually a 'physical' component in and of themselves. They really only represent a 'logical' connection between components... an invisible wire connecting two or more locations on the schematic if you will (used to clean up the schematic). You won't actually see them displayed as a ...

Re: Pattern Editor Styles

Well... there is this little issue of inherent resolution and rounding errors... Yeah, it was discussed quite a few years ago here somewhere but I don't believe anything ever came of it... not sure. I would bet that this might possibly be the source of your discrepancies. If you really want to know ...

Re: Pattern Editor Styles

It appears both the diameter of the mounting holes and the spacing between the holes changed by 0.000591 each.
Coincidence... ?
