Re: Can't find modified/saved component
Try saving it to your Documents/DipTrace/Lib folder if you have one.
Then after saving the component, in the schematic, select the component. Choose Replace Part. Then click "Filter On" and search for the modified component.

Re: 2.2.9.b: Moving of Standard Libraries?
Somebody may have written up something on this. In your documents folder, is there a DipTrace folder? And in that, is there a Lib folder? If so, that would be a good place to put any modified libraries. If not, I guess I must have put that there. If you are wondering where your modified files went, ...

Re: Miscellaneous Tips for using PCB Layout
Yes, it would. I saw that after making my batch file, but I have not tried it yet. I went ahead with my batch file on this project. I expect that would clearly be the right way to do it, and I will move to that method.

Re: Board Outline Flipped Left-Right in Gerber
The other thing that I did not think of is that that setting is for the program and not for the particular .dip file! So when I tried a different .dip, even after having closed Layout, that bit stayed set. And after I cleared the bit, the samples of bugs I thought I was saving no longer exhibited th...

Re: Board Outline Flipped Left-Right in Gerber
That was it. Things are working. That checkbox was selected. I am wondering why everything exported with Export All was not mirrored also. I first just unselected and exported the BoardOutline.gbr. Still was backwards. Did some fiddling around, and then everything started working. Your information w...

Board Outline Flipped Left-Right in Gerber [solved]
When I generate the Gerber files, the BoardOutline.gbr is flipped left for right. It was identified by the board company. I fed the Gerbers to Gerbv and got that same backwards outline. While I had looked at the Gerbers before sending, I somehow did not notice. Had the board been purely rectangular,...

Re: Diptrace pcb track problem
"...I think those pads have some kind of affinity for connecting to pours..." This is because Connect: (thermal settings) for those pads is set to " Yes " instead of " By Pour ". Selecting " Yes " forces a connection to the Copper Pour without regard to actua...

Re: Via's covered up by pour?
Spent all afternoon working on this and made some nice progress. I think a lot of my issues were stemming from the fact that I was trying to design the solder mask, but it looks like it is generated automatically. That, and changing a bunch of via's to pads. ... that must have been a happy realizat...

Re: Diptrace pcb track problem
I fiddled with frustration.dip in version 2.4.0.2. I first wondered why *any* pads would be connected to the pour if there was no associated net. I added some more holes and ran traces. That caused nets to be assigned and visible. Still odd behavior. Adding a pad, and running a trace on the top, and...
