Re: Adjustable component panel width

You can Right Click in there and select Width, then Normal, Medium or Large. Might not be enough depending on how long the component name really is, but you'll see more of it.

Re: Chamfers and Rounded Corners on PCB

You need to Insert points in the Board Outline to do more complex shapes.. http://i50.photobucket.com/albums/f320/RDCXBG/DuXe%20Controller%20PCB/DuXe000.png You can go about a simple rectangle PCB by Right Clicking the Board Outline and select Board Points, check Create RoundRect Board and enter you...

Re: Two Copper Pour Problems

8-10mil doesn't surround the Via on his design, that's what he wanted to know, only a 4mil setting does.

Re: Two Copper Pour Problems

First - In the Copper Pour Properties, change your Line Width from 0.025in to 0.004in

Second - Good question.

Re: 45 degree wires in schematic?

Fair enough as an option, that's by default turned off.

As far as having to criss-cross anything that isn't in the layout you need to do it with straight lines though, that's why there is a component editor, and pin numbers can be shown as well. ;)

Re: 45 degree wires in schematic?

Please don't consider this option. A schematic isn't supposed to look like the PCB, it's supposed to be easy to follow what is connected to what. A bunch of 45 degree lines intersecting any straight ones would make the schematic a complete mess to read.

Re: How do I add and remove vias

You have several options here..

In the toolbar up top, Objects, Place Static Via.

Just move the existing Via, then edit the trace back up.

When you're routing traces manually and switch from the top layer (T) to the bottom layer (B) it will put the Via in at that spot of the trace run.

Re: Calibrating printout

8" x 8" would be a square. ;)

Printer ink good?

Try changing your square and text to the Top Silk layer.

Re: Issue with Launcher and shortcuts (64bit)

Then you're either not on the same Win7 x64 (Pro with SP1), same DipTrace version (2.3.0.1, Standard) or have some setting in Win7 that's different from mine, that's what I'm trying to find out here, not who's works and who's doesn't, but why mine doesn't. If this were a more common issue I'm sure i...
