Schematic coordinates
Since the early stone age all technical drawings have had a set of coordinate grid references along the drawing border. So it is also with Diptrace sheets. You know, the column of letters left/right and numbers top/bottom. The purpose of these is of course to allow indicating the positioning/routing...

Re: a better way to draw an arc
Yep. Something like that, together with an "offset" function found in all CAD programs would do it perfectly. That way it would be trivial to create an arc or set of connected line segments, then offset them to create a double line with regular spacing and finally connect the ends with semicircles t...

Re: a better way to draw an arc
What would be even better, nay, magical, would be if instead of dragging the arc midpoint, there would be an option to create the arc such that it is tangent to both straight line segments. That way the line would smoothly merge from one line to another along a circular arc. I know, there are a coup...

Re: Slots in PCB - what is the optimal way?
Thanks again. Unfortunately this is what i have already tried and while it does work as you describe, there are the downsides i tried to outline earlier. The connect-the-dots arc drawing method is very work intensive and really feasible only when the handle points happen to land in "nice" positions....

Re: Slots in PCB - what is the optimal way?
Thanks for the effort. Drawing DXF is always an option but it works best when the geometry is fixed and known in advance. In many cases any reshuffling of components will break the layout of the cutouts and it is cumbersome to recalculate all positions to import another DXF. What i am after is what ...

>>It sometimes seems that many corporations have at one time or another given up on trying to cooperate with each other to establish industry-wide standards. This seems to be the case. New land patterns are sprouting like mushrooms during a rain. Still, I for one would love to see the archetype patt...

Slots in PCB - what is the optimal way?
Assuming the PCB house advises they can do say 2mm wide routing on a board (yes, many will do narrower but let's use 2mm), what is the easiest way to create a 2 mm wide polyline that maintains consistent width without having confusing end geometry? The issues i see: - if you have wide arcs it is a p...

Exporting layer stack
Me again, sorry to be a pain.
It would be helpful if the layer stack would be exportable to a file same as BOM and PnP lists. As it is now, one either re-types the info manually or then we send screen grabs to the pcb houses which is a bit meh.
Or am i missing something here?

Re: Coloring a component in the schematic
While i agree that push & shove far exceeds nice colors in practical significance, i am also sure that implementation would be a (almost) trivial thing compared to the first one. I also don't see the harm in requesting features, especially as i have no problem taking no for an answer. As far as DipT...

Thanks for your 2 cents.
And what would the Diptrace team think of this?
