Creating Routed Slots
We have many boards which require slots to make the proper board shape iwhen panelized. The algorythm in Panelization when I select V-Scoring often created large openings in the board array which would allow solder spillover to the top side when wave soldering. I have to create a rout layer which is ...

Re: Recreating PCB file
I figured out a way but it is tedious ... I create a new board, update from the schematic, import the silk and copper layers as non-active layers, and reroute all the copper.

Recreating PCB file
I have been using DIPTrace for many years, and I have a design for which I have the Gerber, drill, and the schematic files.
Is there any way I can recreate the PCB (.dip) file from these files? Some of my designs have been mistakenly deleted
.
Thanks for any help!

Editing 3D Components
A Quick Question for the community ... Does anyone know of a program that can edit the STEP models provided in DipTrace? Many of the parts, capacitors especially, have long leads which would be trimmed after soldering. I often submit the 3D models of my designs to customers so they can fit them into ...

Re: Importing NC rout files
Alex, thanks but there is no need now, I was able to bring the rout file into a Gerber viewer and get all the dimensions I needed to reproduce the routs
There was a "G40" code which was causing errors in DipTrace when interpreting the file, the file was from 2008 btw.

Importing NC rout files
I have some older PCB designs which exported NC rout files. When I try to import them as an NC drill file I get nothing to import.
The slot locations and size are critical items which I do not want to measure and estimate.
Does anyone have a method from importing rout.nc files?
Larry

Long Program Loading
I am using the 4.2.0.1 Windows 64bit version, and I have bee seeing very long load times (> 30 seconds) for 6 months now, perhaps from one or two updates back. I have been seeing this both on a Windows 7 Pro and a Window 10 Pro PC, so it doesnt seem to be hardware related. During the loading period ...

BOM Export and Summarizing
Has anyone found or created some way to group the same BOM items after exporting to CSV file? My designs often have hundreds of parts (many of them similiar parts, like 0.1uF decoupling caps, 10k resistors, etc), and it takes a lot of time to create a summarized parts list from these component by ...
