Re: snap eda ? on pattern location

nevermind- I just answered my own question. missed the snap to grid function with grid enabled. was looking for that but it was far too obvious... :-)

Re: snap eda ? on pattern location

got it thanks- last question, is there a way to assign the nudge value for moving objects or groups of objects using the arrow keys in layout? changing grid size doesn't change nudge. Not finding anything in help or in other layout parameters unless I am missing it... Thanks

snap eda ? on pattern location

the snap eda search has save me a lot of time- thank you for putting that in! When in schematic and fetching a part from snap eda, where does the pattern file get stored to? I am not finding it, though it has references & names. I'd like to attach a 3d model to the pattern as these are unique shaped...

copper pour creating island around pad at same potential

Hi, I am not figuring this out. Downloaded a KiCad file for a TI SMPS and when creating a copper pour around all pads of the same potential, it is putting an island around the corner pads. Looking to fill p8 and p14 with copper pour area of interest is circled in red. island removal settings do not ...

Re: copper pour internal rendering shape?

I eliminated some pour areas that dissected thru other pads/pours and updated larger pour. then the odd renderings went away. seems to scan it from bottom up then left to right. Once the pour area that dissected an open area was gone, it generated just fine with an update. Thanks!

copper pour internal rendering shape?

Anyone else run into this? issue a copper pour with board outline. internally generates half-rounds stacked up -- 01 Nov 2014, 13:35 -- I can't completely explain how I got rid of the rounded ends, however it has to do with fills in narrow areas below the where rounded fills start. by making those r...

Re: Is there a market place for unused partial reels of IC's

It's mostly all LED Drivers of some flavor and odd ball resistors/caps. They are like bunnies. When I get time, I'll reply with an inventory list.

Is there a market place for unused partial reels of IC's

This is sort of a manufacturing question... Over time, I've got a number of partial reels of unused IC's. I don't really want to throw them out- someone could probably use them. Is there an on-line marketplace to sell them that anyone is aware of? Ebay is always an option, but I might prefer an indu...

connect copper pour to net by mouser pointer

In Layout, it would save considerable time if a function existed to connect a copper pour to a net by mouser pointer (in symetrical LED layouts, i copy and paste the copper pours, then manually change the net they are tied too). Similar to the "add to net" --> "Select by mouse pointer" function for ...
