Re: 3D Model Rotation Oddity

Good call, I didn't think of that! I'll bet that's probably what it is, some artifact way off the viewing screen!

BINGO!

You win the gold star! Thanks, that was easy.

3D Model Rotation Oddity

I have an odd issue with a newly created PCB. Normally, when I create a design and do a 3D view, I can rotate it around it's axis to see any angle, no problem. That's always the way it worked. I created a new and quite simple PCB from scratch, no problem there. However, when I do a 3D view of it and...

Re: Drag Schematic In Window

Great, I figured there must be a way, but I couldn't find any reference to it. :)
Thanks!

Re: DipTrace 4.0 Release

Probably so, because that's a real fooler as well. I've only got stung with a board fabrication once when this happened, the route finished 100%, and the verification declared everything good. Fortunately, it was a one-off prototype, and I just added the wire to finish testing, but I was not impres...

Drag Schematic In Window

Is there any hotkey to simple drag the whole schematic around in the viewing window? If you're zoomed in and working on a specific section, it would be nice to be able to just hit a key and drag the schematic around. This would be like the hand in Adobe Acrobat Reader. It's very kludgy and slow to h...

Re: DipTrace 4.0 Release

Once you've run the autorouter, sometimes things aren't 100% routed. However, there are also times that the verification misses that fact! If you look closely, the tiny ratlines are there I too have seen that. I'd second the vote for a toggle option to make ratlines prominent, but the "ratlines sti...

Re: DipTrace 4.0 Release

A suggestion for an enhancement to the handling of ratlines. Once you've run the autorouter, sometimes things aren't 100% routed. However, there are also times that the verification misses that fact! If you look closely, the tiny ratlines are there, but they can get lost in all the other clutter, es...

DipTrace Disappears From Taskbar

I have an odd issue that just started happening. I'm using version Windows 10 and DipTrace 3.3.1.3, and the schematic capture and board layout icons will disappear from the taskbar when I switch away to another application. They're still active, and an ALT/TAB finds them, but they're gone from the t...

Re: JST Connectors?

Well, I finally went to the JST site, what a PITA! You have to type in a bunch of stuff for EACH connector! Are they kidding?

Notice the thickness of horizontal and vertical wires. Using wire width 0.2mm
Half of them are one width and the other half the other, that's really odd. Version 3 didn't do that.
