Let's go on with the text character control we may have in DipTrace.
How do you control the character size, font type, color and other variations in the text you can place on the pcb, this time both in the pcb itself, to show in copper, as well as the silk layer.

Re: Free moving component characters
Not to open another thread, perhaps you can tell me where I see the dimensions of the part I intend to select or select?

Re: Free moving component characters
However, you mention "part number and part type." Typically, neither of those items are included on the PCB or Schematic so I may have misunderstood your question. No, you didn't misunderstand it. Those names are included on the Top Silk layer. Of course they do not go on the pcb. The F10...

Free moving component characters
Is there a way I can freely move a component's characters: particularly part number and part type? The options available in Markings many times do not fit or adjust to the available space or crowding. Are you allowed to change the character's size? Sometimes you need to. I had those options even on ...

Re: Moving pads from top to bottom
I decided to approach this thing differently, and I started by placing a pad just on the bottom.
Then replicate it infinitely until having all the pads on my prototype pcb. As I imagined, now I can move the parts easily on the top.
But I still would like to know what I asked.

Re: Moving pads from top to bottom
My intent is to erase the pads completely from the top side, so I can move the parts freely. As it is now, trying to click on the parts it's difficult because the pads do not let me. This problem is non existent in normal pcb design, because you just place the parts, and just join their pads between...

Re: Moving pads from top to bottom
Sorry if I sound too primitive, but where is the "Pattern Editor" and where is the "PCB Layout editor". I can't find any of them on the menu.

Moving pads from top to bottom
It's probably simple, but I searched and couldn't find it.
How do you do to move pads, or a group of them, from top to bottom on the pcb?

Re: Matrix PCBs
Sorry to insist on this subject. Got not one response to my query. But I think it has a lot to do in helping project designers in these times of corona-virus. Maybe I should place this question somewhere else, where there's more people coming by? I will do that if I continue not to get any answers. ...

Matrix PCBs
Some may find this foolish, but there are many situations where prototype boards can be useful. And some time ago I did find a way to take advantage of DipTrace pcb design to use with prototype boards, making such stage design more precise and effective. Now it's been some time since I don't use the...
