Re: copper pour option change
I see no change in behavior between the two existing options. Is there a video that demonstrates the differences?

copper pour option change
There seems to be no difference between the two copper pour border options " Depending on Board " and " Snap to Board Outline ". A more useful function for " Depending on Board " would be to change its name to " Trim to Board Outline ". When selected it should...

Re: Behavior of multiple copper pours on one layer
Glad to be able to help. Unfortunately, there is no way for DipTrace to know where one pour needs to end and the other needs to start; it must be defined manually. However, I'm not too keen on DipTrace automatically shorting the two nets together; even with the warning. Perhaps that was the safest s...

Re: Behavior of multiple copper pours on one layer
As far as I can tell, it looks like you will have to manually edit the pours. If so, here's one way to do it in the example you provided... 1) Left pour: Pour Priority = 1 , enable [x]Depending on Board , click on OK , ignore the short circuit warning by clicking on OK one more time. 2) Unpour all p...

Re: How do I remove solder mask from a pad (touch sense pad)
Oh. Did you set the "Apply to:" drop-list to "Current Pad"?

Re: How do I remove solder mask from a pad (touch sense pad)
The " Renew Layout from Schematic " ( By Components ) tool in the PCB Layout editor will not change the mask/paste settings of the original component. The developers intentionally set it up this way in order to preserve the original mask/paste settings. You will have to manually change the...

Dashed-line tool ruins component file for XML export
1) Using the Component Editor , create a test component library containing multiple components. 2) Add an empty rectangle to the first component. 3) Resave the component library. 4) Export the updated component library as an XML file. 5) Open the new XML file in an editor and observe that all XML c...

Re: Diptrace Step file issue
You can create rudimentary 3D models in the Pattern Editor using its IPC-7351 pattern generator.I didn't know that 3D modules could be made in diptrace?
