Re: SOD-523 - cannot generate 3D model by entered dimensions
For "L" you entered the total length of the pin. "L" is actually the contact area of the pin which is much smaller.

Re: How to incorporate cutouts in board outline
Have you tried sending something like this to the board house?...

Re: Add feature to unpour all copper layers
Hi John,
In more recent versions you can assign hotkeys to pour and unpour copper pours.

Re: DipTrace 5.2 beta
Hi amshh,
There is a reason for naming that layer "Route Keepout". Naturally, its purpose is to prevent routing incursions. As novarm44 has implied, the user is only one hotkey away from intentionally routing into an otherwise forbidden zone.
I hope this helps.

Re: Net Confusion
It is if they are connected to each other with a wire (schematic) or trace/ratline (PCB).I have a resistor in my Layout that is Net3 at both ends. Is this correct?

Re: Exporting DXF of traces and copper shapes (cleanly)?
FYI, here is Wikipedia's take on DXF - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AutoCAD_DXF
Apparently, DXF has had many revisions over the years. For example, the latest version supported by QCAD is R27 (introduced in 2023?). It looks like DipTrace exports DXF version R11/R12 (introduced in 1992?).

I agree with you, but I think we need to cut them a little slack. Their home town is now experiencing drone attacks and people are dying.Flux wrote: 21 May 2025, 17:34 You should have gotten a response on your question. Oh well sometimes they just ignore you I guess...

Re: Exporting DXF of traces and copper shapes (cleanly)?
The DXF file format is not very robust when it comes to transferring graphics information. When I tried transferring a Top copper layer to QCAD via DXF it looked very close to the original (rounded edges and clean circles), but some teardrops showed up as outlines. When editing the drawing it got a ...

Re: Trace colors
As far as preventing it from automatically transferring the net colors to the PCB, I am not aware of a switch that would disable this behavior. Maybe there is one somewhere? However, a quick workaround while in the PCB editor would be to select all ( Ctrl + A ), right-click on one of the traces and ...
