Re: Drill to PAD Clearance

Tom,
Both of those look good, I have to ponder the differences.
I will try on my next board order, which is hopefully this month.
Thank you for the detailed drawings, they really clarify the ideas.

Re: Drill to PAD Clearance

I created a minimal layout to show the issue and settings, and that seems to have given me a partial solution. Wish Route-Netclasses Clearance Details offered Drill and Board Edge settings (Like Design Rules Clearance Table). Wish Netclasses Clearance Details window indicated what it covered by the ...

Re: Drill to PAD Clearance

Just trying to DipTrace4002 and I see same issue for TopDown LEDs and clearance between the centre drill hole and rest of footprint. There appears to be many more clearance settings in DipTrace4002, but I can't seem to find where to adjust these clearances to remove the issues. Any Ideas what I need...

Diptrace3313 Schematic - Picture blank if file Readonly

If I set the schematic file Readonly then any images I inserted in schematic go blank,
if I turn off readonly in file properties the images return.

Re: Copper Pour SMT No Spokes

Tomg,
Thank you, that works.

Wishlist: an easy way to do for whole pour, i.e. add 'none' to thermals drop down lists in pour properties (at least 3 places).

Re: Copper Pour SMT No Spokes

"Direct"= flood right over SMT PADs, 100% connection on all pad edges (Seen in current DipTrace3.3.1.3 and earlier). I haven't found an option that leaves only my manually done connections. I'm hoping for "no automatic pour connections to PADs" so I have better control of how small SMT parts are con...

Copper Pour SMT No Spokes

Is there any way to turn off thermals spoke connections to SMT Pads? I see Direct, 2spoke, 4spoke, with options of 90' & 45'. I don't see any option for "none" Please add option "none" for thermal spoke generation to pulldown lists for (a) the general thermals (b) SMT thermals (c) Thermals menu when...

Re: Struggling to Print Schematic Correctly

I've found it useful to print to pdf file, then resize when I print the pdf. I use primopdf for this.
Typically a schematic "sheet" has the signature and info block in the corner so is fixed paper size.

Re: RJ45 Keepout area

If you put components under the connector it may not sit flat, and any mechanical supports may not lock into the PCB (i.e. plastic posts). If the part is plastic then Traces under the connector should be fine. If the body of the part is metal then traces under it may arc to the body if the PCB coati...
