Pads connected in pattern are no longer recognised as such

Hi, I have a component (SD card socket) which has the mechanical mounting pads connected as they are all part of the same metal shell. I set this in the component editor by drawing the red lines between the connected pads when attaching the pattern to the component, and indeed, if you mouseover one ...

A minor request/bug

Hi, In a schematic, when right clicking on a pin and selecting "Add to net", the net list box is quite small (for me anyway!) and the window is unable to be resized. Could you please either make this box bigger horizontally (2x or 3x) or allow the window to be resized? I prefer to have longer net na...

Re: Add a part with no footprint to an autogenerated BOM?

Yes, I realise this, but when going to PCB I receive an error stating that the component has no footprint. Is there a way to suppress this error for certain components? I'd still like to have the error in case I did indeed forget to add a footprint to a real component, but the false positive is like...

Add a part with no footprint to an autogenerated BOM?

Hi, Is it possible to have a part on the schematic with no footprint such that it will be added to the BOM, but not present in the PCB? For example, I would like to add a flat flex cable so that when I generate the BOM for the schematic, it is included. I realise I can have a part with no attached p...

Library ASCII export has unbalanced brackets

Hi, When exporting a component library in diptrace ASCII format, the number of brackets is unbalanced (ie, there are 359 opening brackets and 360 closing brackets). Given that the file appears to be using a tree structure, having unbalanced brackets is a problem. My library file is below, and I'm us...

Re: DipTrace 3.1 beta

"...Is it possible to now length match more than a diff pair?..." From what I can see, yes. To date it looks like you can set up length matching rules for multi-net buses in Beta 3.1, but phase-tuning by adding meanders is limited to differential pairs, only. To length-match a bus it appears you wi...

Is it possible to now length match more than a diff pair? For example, length matching an 8 bit bus?

Length matching of more than a diff pair

Hi, I need to length match a bus that has more than 2 pins. Is there a way to force a particular set of nets to have an equal length? If I create a net class of type differential pair and add all 34 signals to it, will it force me to length match them? Thanks, Jeremy -- 10 Oct 2016, 17:05 -- To answ...
