Re: Rotating around center without "pivoting around axis" / unwanted movement
Well, that does do the trick! However, that just solves it for text. And - added bonus - it also moves them when I change that parameter, requiring me to relocate each piece of text as everything gets jumbled-up. Other components, like lugs, relay, even holes... they "pivot" around the cor...

Rotating around center without "pivoting around axis" / unwanted movement
Ran into something odd today in PCB editor. I needed to rotate some text objects, and in doing so, I found the objects pivoting around the corner point instead of rotating around the center as expected: https://i.imgur.com/zISj8wZ.gif The heck? I've never seen this before. Can't find any settings/pr...

Re: "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image" when posting image from imgur
oh my god this site is an absolute dumpster fire. Please note that I didn't post these as inline images. I pasted a URL in the first case, and I wrapped the share link in bbcode-escapes in the second. Somehow an unexpected plugin sucked-up the URLs and turned them into the output I was intending, bu...

"It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image" when posting image from imgur
Trying to make a post with a GIF illustrating the issue I'm having: https://imgur.com/zISj8wZ I post the GIF with the following bbcode: [im g]https://i.imgur.com/zISj8wZ.gif[/im [/i]g] I get the error, "It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image. Please verify that the URL you...

Re: Way to clip silk layers at board edge?
Eight years later, this still isn't a thing, it seems. It's really bugging me today, as I have a board I want to fab where one of the requirements is to not have data outside the board outline. I really shouldn't have to do this... DipTrace should be smart enough to crop the silkscreen outside the o...

Re: Pattern editor has no "Graphics Mode" setting, so "3D Model" is glacially slow
Huh - funny thing. I rebooted the computer and updated, and maybe closing PCB Editor down is what saved the preferences that were inherited into Pattern Editor next time around. Now it's working smoothly in Pattern Editor as well. Guess you're right - it inherits the Graphics Mode setting from PCB E...

Re: Selecting multiple items based on their properties
Third! When making a new design and it comes time to construct a BOM (by filling in details), I have a lot of parts with no MFPNs, only specs - specifically, SMD resistors of all the same value/style. So I've got a list of 10pcs of 10k 0603 resistors... I find a part I want to use for it... but I ha...

Re: Eagle import error - "number of layers in the manufacturing rules..."
That worked, thanks! Well, it worked partially, at least. It imported 16 individual copper layers, though, and melds the silk and copper together on the 16th (bottom) layer, with 14 in-between layers just containing vias. I can't make out how you came up with that formula or determined there are 16 ...

Re: Eagle import error - "number of layers in the manufacturing rules..."
That doesn't help. It gives the same error with that obscure formula keyed in - both directly into the file via Notepad++, or via Eagle. I tried that, along with everything else I could find, long before posting here. Actually more than a little bristled that you say it so confidently, "the ans...
