How to prevent global nets in hierarchy?

Hi! When I combined 2 schematics, tested as separate boards A and B, into 1, I made B hierarchical (because that one is a sub circuit used multiple times). Upon routing the board, I found air wires connecting things that really should not be connected. These were global nets, connecting parts of sch...

Re: Selecting multiple items based on their properties

Seconded! Would also be very handy to select all parts in a hierarchy (Like all refdes ending in _1). Find component can find them all, but does not select them. (If edit selection had a search window like find component has... Would also work for this.) EDIT: Ah. For hierarchy there is a method: Go...

Re: wires proposal

Does ERC not already warn about "overlapping wires"? (overlapping but not connected)

Re: finding components / schematic <-> pcb coupling

For hierarchical design I have found route/Hierarchy can also be used to select one block of the hierarchy before routing, which is very useful. (KiCAD afaik does not even have that ;)) But cross-probing would be nice. Or maybe there is some other quick/easy way to group and grab parts that belong t...

finding components / schematic <-> pcb coupling

Is there a good way in Diptrace to find schematic components in the PCB layout? I'm a bit used to how KiCad allows one to click on a schematic component and with that highlight the same component on the PCB, and vice versa. That is very useful during component placement (And later when wanting to kn...

Re: DRC does not catch missing nets

Thanks, good to know about "Lock Net Structure". (I only wonder why it is not locked by default?)

DRC does not catch missing nets

When layouting a PCB in diptrace, it is very easy to accidentally remove a net. When one means to unroute a trace, but presses delete as one intuitively does, it deletes the net. (AFAIK there is no hotkey for "unroute" though one can be set manually, I've set shift-X to unroute segment which is a wo...

better netlabels

Hi :) To connect nets by label in diptrace schematic, I name them, then tell it to display names. Two steps, times all the nets to be labeled. In KiCAD this is a one-step proces, there is a button to add a label, it will automatically display the name then. It would be nice if it was just as conveni...
