Re: Default Component Library: M N and L Versions?

Note that if you are planning to hand-solder SMD components with an iron, the pad size option (M/N/L) that you select can make a significant difference in how easy the parts are to solder!

Re: DirPrace updates or upgrades

For those of us in production environments, release notes of minor bug fixes would be extremely helpful in determining when to schedule an update. For example, if an update fixes minor bugs that aren't impacting our work, the update would be deferred until time permits. But if an update fixes bugs t...

Re: DipTrace 4.0 Release

In other news, I just saw that 4.0.0.3 was released last week. Is there any way to find out which bugs were fixed since 4.0.0.2? ... and now the same question for the 4.0.0.4 that was released a few days ago? :D edit: Also, the download for 4.0.0.4 seems markedly smaller... 732 MB, vs ~1.2GB for 4....

Re: Inversion Toggle for Silkscreen Layers

Nope, specifically not that.

Inverting text as shown, as far as I can tell, only works on the separate standalone text boxes. It doesn't apply to component outlines or markings, nor does it have the ability to fill the layer around the text boxes.

Inversion Toggle for Silkscreen Layers

Feature Request: Inversion Toggle for Silkscreen Layers Sometimes, for aesthetic or functional reasons, it is desirable to invert the PCB silkscreen layer. For example, say a PCB maker produces red boards with white silkscreen. By inverting the silkscreen layer, the board effectively becomes a white...

Re: DipTrace 4.0 Release

I'll keep an eye out for it too. It could be user error on my part, but I'll see if it happens again, and what the circumstances are.

In other news, I just saw that 4.0.0.3 was released last week. Is there any way to find out which bugs were fixed since 4.0.0.2?

Thanks

Re: DipTrace 4.0 Release

News from Apple recently revealed a move away from Intel processors to Apple Silicon which is based on ARM architecture, same processors that power iPhones and iPads. First machine with Apple Silicon comes before end of year ad developers can get MacMini prototype for testing apps already. I wonder...

Re: DipTrace 4.0 Release

Once you've run the autorouter, sometimes things aren't 100% routed. However, there are also times that the verification misses that fact! If you look closely, the tiny ratlines are there I too have seen that. I'd second the vote for a toggle option to make ratlines prominent, but the "ratlines sti...

Opening high-pin-count schematic in lower-licensed software?

Quick question: In the current DipTrace software, what happens if a user with a lower-tier license attempts to open a schematic (or board) created in a higher-licensed version of DipTrace, which has more pins in the schematic than their current license version allows? Does it open the file and let t...

This is specifics of Wine on Mac and D3D/OpenGL. We have changed this for the upcoming upgrade (pop-up toolbar appears not over the design area).
Sounds good, thanks!
