Re: Problem with dsn export to Freerouting
I think I have made some progress. It seems that Freerouting can't handle instances where Diptrace prohibits traces between common pins of a component. E.g., when a component has multiple GND pins Diptrace seems to forbid traces between them with code like: (fromto TB1-1 TB1-15 (type fix)) Freerouti...

Re: Problem with dsn export to Freerouting
I can't claim to have made a scientific comparison, but I just ran a 2-layer 98-net 288-pin board through both autorouters. Diptrace shape autorouter: 2 nets failed to route Total trace length 5800 mm 141 vias Freerouting: All nets routed Total trace length 5233 mm 80 vias In fairness, Freerouting t...

Re: Problem with dsn export to Freerouting
Thanks Alex, let me know if I can provide anything else. The same board works fine if exported from Diptrace to Kicad or EasyEDA and then exported from those programs as a dsn file to Freerouting.
I do know about the Diptrace autoroute, but Freerouting seems to do a better job.

Problem with dsn export to Freerouting
I've been trying to autoroute a board using Freerouting (https://github.com/freerouting/freerouting), which I've done successfully in the past with earlier versions of Diptrace and Freerouting. Now when I export a dsn file from Diptrace, and try to load it into Freerouting, I get this error message:...

Re: OS X Graphics Issues with 4.1.2
Must be a Catalina issue.
A workaround is to switch to OpenGL for 3d preview, then switch back to Direct3D when done.

OS X Graphics Issues with 4.1.2
In previous versions of Diptrace, I was able to use 3d preview without a problem. With 4.1.2, if I set Graphics Mode to "Direct3D", 3D preview in PCB Layout either hangs with high CPU use on "Creating 3D board" or takes a very long time to render even a board with a single compon...

Re: Feature request
I keep trying to find parts where having the ability to assign 3D images to the component would work and I come up with none. STM makes a "few" MCU devices, you can download their 'patterns/footprints/3D images as Ultra Librarian *.bxl then convert to importable format for Diptrace. They ...

Re: DipTrace 4.0 Release
I am not familiar at all with how Wine works, but Diptrace 4 can definitely access the host file system through the Z: drive on "My Computer". However, access seems inconsistent. For example, Diptrace 4 will not recognize any files or subdirectories in the user Documents or Downloads folde...
