Re: One schematic divided over two boards?

Although (after a couple of times re-reading your comment), I do see your point from a documentation point of view. As it is though, I do not need to document this for anyone but myself. I'd see more benefit (feel free to call this laziness) inkeeping everything together and in sync in one schematic...

Re: One schematic divided over two boards?

Hi Tom, Actually, the two boards are separate. Maybe a bit more info will help. I have a board with a high-power UV led and some other parts on one end, and a driver plus microcontroller and peripherals on the other end. To fit into a housing (and since part will be potted to make things waterproof)...

One schematic divided over two boards?

Hi, I've got a schematic that should be laid out on two separate boards that will be connected through a flat cable. I'd like to have both boards in one schematic as to keep pinouts/nets the same on both boards. Is there at "good" or "diptrace-correct" way to do this? I found one...

Re: Are there plans for native Diptrace on Linux ?

I definitely would second that suggestion. Wine works. Sometimes. Depending on the configuration. Still, marking "Linux" as a supported OS and then having to use Wine doesn't really feel right. It's like saying "we support Windows (for a native Linux program)", and then saying to...

Re: Cross-probe (long requested)

Requests for live cross-probe between Schematic and Layout have been made since 2011. I know about the workarounds to do it manually, but it would be nice to see that feature implemented. It's a valuable tool that I have enjoyed in other EDA applications that I have owned. Do you mean such as in Ea...

Pour not "connecting" to (SMD) pad

Hi, See pictures. I have a pour for my 3.3V (but could be anything), and a component that has a pad for that net inside the pour. When I update the pour, I can see the pour has kept a guard space around the pad, and the ratlines are still visible (as the pad is not automatically connected). I'd expe...

Re: Schematic hanging under Wine

Serg, Your solution was in the right direction. Disabling the option you recommended did solve the hanging, but keyboard input did not seem to be captured by Schematic anymore. If I would open a text editor under linux, then open Schematic, no keyboard input was captured by the program. I would late...

Re: Schematic hanging under Wine

So, I've purged all Wine related packages and config files. Reinstalled the latest Wine stable, created a clean wine32 prefix installed a freshly downloaded DipTrace 32 bit version copied my schematic inside the wine prefix drive_c (to rule out some possible link issues) I still get the same issue, ...

Re: Schematic hanging under Wine

@Serg

Thanks!
That makes sense actually, and I hadn't thought of that. I'm purging my current Wine install now and will install in a 32bit environment. Somehow I expected Diptrace to work better in a 64bit environment.
Will reply with results.

Schematic hanging under Wine

I am running Diptrace (4.1.3.1) under Wine, using a 64bit prefix. I have had no issues using the component or pattern editors, but when using the schematic I get frequent hangs where it will not respond to any input anymore. Opening the Wine debugger and attaching to the pid give me the message 0x00...
