Hi,
I will take some notes and see if there are any patterns or reproduceable sequences of events to trigger the issue.
It seems to be after a number of hours working on a multi layer board, I noticed it on the 10 layer board I am currently working on, but have not had the issue on 2 or 4 layer ...

PCB Layout keeps performing Verification with almost every mouse click.
I've had this issue for a little while now and it's getting worse as my boards get more complex. I'm currently working on a 10 layer board, and it's getting incredibly frustrating to have the software stop, freeze, and perform an unwanted DRC check all the time.

Re: Is it possible to Autoroute some nets but not outers?
Cool, thanks.
Length matching would be helpful if possible to implement at a later date.

Is it possible to Autoroute some nets but not outers?
Hi,
I have a board layout that I want to autoroute only a selection of nets and define them to all be the same length (DDR2 RAM traces).
Is it possible in Diptrace to select some nets and have them autoroute around existing traces and footprints, and have them length matched too?

Re: ODB++ import - 'Incorrect Property Record: PRP String' error
Unfortunately the design is under NDA so I can't release the files until the legal side of opensourcing is worked out, but I managed to get it imported in a roundabout way by using a 15 day trial version of Altium to import the ODB++ file and then export as an Altium ASCII which I was able to import ...

ODB++ import - 'Incorrect Property Record: PRP String' error
I'm currently attempting to import an ODB++ file that appears to have been made in Altium Designer, but I am getting the following error when 'Parsing: eda...'
Incorrect Property Record: PRP String '<redacted text string here>'
The file subsequently does not open as the operation fails at this ...

Re: Some 3D models are very dark - Diptrace 5.0 Beta (May 31st 2024)
I have attached the STEP file of the part, but I just found the cause of the issue anyway. It seems the new renderer trips up on inwards facing normals and possibly non-manifold geometry.
While I was thinking about it, I thought I should check the normals on a whim (I didn't make the original model ...

Some 3D models are very dark - Diptrace 5.0 Beta (May 31st 2024)
I have found an issue that some 3D models are rendered very dark to be almost entirely black in Diptrace 5.0 Beta May 31, 2024.
In Diptrace v4.3.0.6, they appear fine.

Re: How to place a background bitmap to trace board layout?
Yeah, it seems no matter what layer I choose, it wants to do the black and white vector thing. I can't seem to place any picture in the work area as-is.

How to place a background bitmap to trace board layout?
I'm often finding myself reproducing old PCB's for repairs and additions to old test equipment, and to get them as similar to the original design, I'd like to insert a bitmap image of the original PCB so I can trace over it so component locations and traces are the same once I have converted the ...
