Re: DipTrace 4.0 beta

1) I was hoping this issue would be addressed in this beta but it still exists. The mouse scroll wheel doesn't function to scroll the layers window. If I want to scroll the layers window, I have to use the scroll bar to the right. Interestingly, the layers windows scrolls perfectly using chiral scr...

Is there a date on beta 3 or the release date?
Development was slowed down due to COVID-19 quarantine, but I hope we will do all within April. Can do right now, but without teardrops (some tweaks require complex shape-based algorithms there).

Re: DipTrace 4.0 beta

Looks good so far. Will the option also be available locally in addition to the global settings (e.g. right-click on an individual pad or trace for a different-from-global setting)? Yes, of course. Global options at Objects/Add Teardrops + apply to selected, local options by right click on pad/via/...

Re: DipTrace 4.0 beta

Got some results for teardrops. It is not completed yet (integration into all parts of the program is still in process), but we can show dialog window and result on test layout. Please let us know if any thing is incorrect.

Re: DipTrace 4.0 beta

DipTrace v4 Beta.2 bug: When a new, filled circle shape (filled obround forming a true circle ) is placed in the Design Area of the Schematic Editor , it can't be completely deselected by clicking in a blank space; and "Filled Obround" is always displayed in the lower left-hand corner of the Hint A...

Re: DipTrace 4.0 beta

Was laying out an 'LGA' pattern, at least that is what Nordic called it, and decided to try 4.0, nope, same issues: No means to name pins the same name ie, Nordic called all Vcc pins 103 as in pin number. DipTrace beta can deal with it too. Name all Vss pins "103@" or "@103" and you get no error me...

Re: renew does not replicate deleted component

I have changed this for upcoming version (not today's update yet): PCB Layout will remove pads if they were placed in Schematic and currently don't exist there. 3.0 and latest beta keeps any separate pad on PCB, but updates it if exists in Schematic, so ignoring something which exists in Schematic w...

Re: DipTrace 4.0 beta

Since the Renew Layout from Schematic tool will ignore any component with a one-object pattern due to the possibility of PCB-created pads, it might be a good idea to have the Schematic Editor's Convert to PCB tool also ignore components with one-object patterns. This might help users discover some ...
