Do the lags happen with specific only or any board design? In the first case, please send board file to DipTrace support for verification or upload it on the forum.

Pads should have different pad numbers. Then they won't be internally connected when you group the pads to component.

"Save as" allows to save existing library with new file name while "Save" saves the library with the same file name. That is the only difference. If you want to append a component to existing component library, you can do things in different order. Open existing component library in Component Editor...

Thank you for the report. We will investigate the issue but I can't reproduce the problem. Is there any chance that one or more pattern libraries are corrupted or missing i.e. defined in library setup but the file doesn't exist anymore.
