Fenichel.. Dude.. you should check out Cadence Allegro or PCB Editor, you could do your thing in this software... it has scripting capability..

Am not aware of any free dwg software..

I use program called AutoSketch 9... I got it for approx... $50 dollars on amazon... it is easy to use and easy to learn.

Isburden, The only way I have found to have complete control and ease of pattern/pad design.. is to do the pads in an external "auto-cad like" program that will export dxf... Then import the dxf file into "pattern editor"... The control of angular manipulation and exact placement of different pad ge...

What is your "clearance" Setting on your copper pour? Is it zero?

What is your "line width" and "line spacing" set to?

This is the stuff in the "copper pour window".

If you choose "export all" you can selectively output what layers you want..

When it comes to saving the indexed file.. hitting "cancel" skips the unwanted file.

So effectively you are individually disabling layers.

thanks for info... on where template files were located..

the path to the files was a little different.. am running Win7...Path was C:\ProgramData\DipTrace\Data.. My ProgramData file was a hidden file..threw me for a minute or two..
