Re: A few things I'd like to see

1. When using an appriopriate window manger this usualy works by clicking shift and the x in the upper right of the windows, but not with Diptrace indeed. 2. This works, see "Apply to" in the "replace part" panel. 4. What yould be a use case for this? :?: 5. I guess this can be done independent of d...

All other Tools is used (see profile) keep markings readable - i.e. do not rotate their read orientation with components.

Re: DipTrace 4.0 beta

V4 Beta 3 still rotates markings with components. This is a huge step back and a major annoyance in my eyes  . Imagine you rotate many/all components and now all markings are up side down. Now you have to manually rotate every single marking. So instead of helping the designer this creates a l...

RefDes hierarchy separation character

If you have 3 hierarchy blocks with R23 you'll have R23_1, R23_2 and R23_3
This might occupy to much space on the pcb silkscreen.
Maybe replacing _ by . helps a little bit?
R23.1, R23.2 and R23.3

Re: copy paste pcb-layout respecting grid

May be the most simple solution would be to insert the copied layout in the (target) file without changes in the coordinates.
This way we could set the origin in the source to the wanted value, copy it and paste in target.

copy paste pcb-layout respecting grid

When copying a pcb-layout and pasting in another *.dip file, then it should be placed on grid (e.g. with respect to design origin of the source file).
One application: Put multiple pcb-layouts on one panel for pcb production and assembly (x,y).

autorouting 45 degree components/IC's

Can the PCB-Editor autoroute components (e.g. IC with 100 Pins) if they are rotated by an angle of 45 degrees?
Thank's for anyones response. :)

Re: Pattern library

Hi Allen,
to import you can search for patterns and symbols on sites like SnapEDA and SamacSys.
You may post your symbol library so we can look at it.
