Re: Importing active parts libraries

Search your parts in the Schematic Editor to see, if parts already in "built in" libaries: Menu Object, Search Component

Re: Importing active parts libraries

You will find opamps and similar in libraries supplied in diptrace Version 3 and named according to the manufacturer e.g. Texas Instruments.
In Diptrace Version 4 Beta 4 in the library "IC linear amplifiers".

Re: DipTrace Net Port changes

Hi Tom,

I try to understand your request.

3) do you mean Net Port Pin when writing net port label?

Re: DipTrace 4.0 beta

Why to rotate marking with component?
I placed a post in the wrong topic Marking upside-down. PCB 4.0 beta 1

I would appreciate comments from users with industrial background, thank you!
Still valid for Beta2.

Re: Neck-down ignores design rules. PCB 4.0 beta 1

Thank's for your reply Alex,
Ok it seems it's the same as in Version 3. And its easily corrected.
An idea: The neck-down feature makes the thin segement form the pad so long, that it conforms to the "pad-trace" (or "smd-trace"?) clearance rule.

Re: Marking upside-down. PCB 4.0 beta 1

Since decades it's good practice to make drawings/things readable from two sides for good reason (let's say from front and right side) ;). This new marking "feature" completley ignores this. If this really comes in Version 4, then after each rotation of a component you have to manually adjust the ma...

Re: Marking upside-down. PCB 4.0 beta 1

Imagine you rotate many/all components and now all markgings are hard to read on the screen.
Can the markings be reset to default?

renew does not replicate deleted component

Delete J3 in schematic. Renew by component in PCB-Editor. J3 is still in PCB which I would not expect. J3 is not locked. A question related to this: 4.0 beta introduced a new feature ""Updating PCB from Schematic keeps locked components, non-existent in Schematic". What is a use case to this? At fir...

Neck-down ignores design rules. PCB 4.0 beta 1

Manual routing leads to neck-down that ignores design rules. E.g. the active rule "pad to trace" ist 0.2mm. The neck-down feature will create a to small cleareance of 0.18mm.
