Re: Inverting parts symbols

Is it possible to "trim" trace junctions... No. As far as I know, the only way to smooth over undesirable transitions in the current version of DipTrace ( 3.3.1.3 ) would be to spend some extra time covering them with custom-shaped copper pours assigned to the same net. DipTrace has a "neck-down" f...

Re: PCB Layout

To make it easy on yourself assign hotkeys for the " Update All Copper Pours " and " Unpour All Copper Pours " tools, otherwise you'll have to click on each and every pour individually. The appropriate hotkeys can be found as follows... 1) In the Main Menu click on Tools and select Hotkey Settings.....

Re: Having trouble with Align Objects

I agree. The DipTrace method is a little confusing and example images would help. Two things to keep in mind while attempting to use the tool... * After selecting/highlighting the desired objects to be aligned, decide which one is to be the anchor and then right-click on it to access the Align Objec...

Re: How to put the trademark symbol on silk layer

Another method would involve making your own symbols in vector font sizes from 2 to 72 on the Top Silk layer and saving as "patterns" in one of your custom pattern libraries. Just place the required size pattern onto the PCB where needed, right-click on it and select " Ungroup Component " in the pop...

Re: Inverting parts symbols

1) Make sure all objects are unlocked before trying to move them by first selecting everything ( Ctrl + A ), then right-clicking on one of the selected/highlighted components (not its pins) and finally selecting " Unlock Selected " in the pop-up menu. (If everything is already unlocked the only loc...

Re: Inverting parts symbols

Before re-orienting the component, right-click on it (not its pins) and select "Disconnect Wires" in the pop-up menu. After the component has been re-oriented, reconnect the wires.

Re: 3D images tricks?

Looks like somebody may have messed up the decimal point placement for the product height. Try this one instead... LFBGA_448_18x18.zip I maxed out all three outside dimensions for a worst-case scenario as per the datasheet: 18.1mm x 18.1mm x 1.27mm , +.01mm above the PCB (changeable in the Pattern E...

Re: Pattern property Height in Export?

Here's one manufacturer's explanation and recommended requirements for the centroid file - https://www.screamingcircuits.com/assets/pdfs/understanding-the-centroid.pdf So it looks like the only data that needs to be provided by the centroid (DipTrace pick-and-place) file is as shown in the example t...
