Re: PCB Layout editor - Hide Silk Drawings

Why would you like to do this on individual components? Usually, most components don't need to have their silkscreen drawings suppressed; just a select few due to special-case, unavoidable clearance issues. Redesigning the artwork in the pattern library for these special cases is time-consuming and...

Re: PCB & Schematic editors down?

Just finished wrestling with the touchpad driver on my wife's laptop, thanks to this latest Win10 update. For some strange reason, the touchpad re-enabled itself (she normally has it disabled). After diving into the "Device Mangler", the touchpad appeared as just another " HID-compliant mouse " with...

Re: Place keepout

As far as I know, not in the current version (3.3.1.3) of DipTrace. Supposedly, it will be made available in the upcoming version 4 in the form of a "Courtyard" layer. See this thread - viewtopic.php?f=20&t=12507&start=76

Re: Phantom GND trace in the middle of GND pour

You mentioned, that the reason is that I've run autorouter before adding copper pour. I really did that, should these actions be reversed? First add pour (it will obviously cover all board), and then start autorouter? That is what I would recommend. After adding the copper pour, but before running ...

Re: Phantom GND trace in the middle of GND pour

The only thing that comes to mind is that the autorouter was run before the copper pour was assigned to the GND net and updated. Try this to see if it clears up the unnecessary GND traces... 1) In the Main Menu click on Edit and choose Edit Selection... in the drop-menu to bring up the Edit Selectio...

Re: Phantom GND trace in the middle of GND pour

Did you route the GND net before assigning the pour to the GND net?

PCB & Schematic editors down?

Just curious to see if anyone else is having problems with the PCB & Schematic editors not responding after initial launch. This happened after Windows-10 decided to run major updates. It looks like the latest version of Windows-10 may have broken DipTrace's "Check for Updates" function and is causi...

Re: NetPorts local to hierarchical block

Have you tried right-clicking on a pin and selecting "Add to Net..." with the [x]Connect without Wire option enabled? This works for existing and new nets (click on the [+] button to create a new net)...

Re: DRC trace width bug

Hi Alex, I deleted all of my Trace Templates to make sure the default trace width is being used. After re-entering the default trace width as " 0.2 " (mm) and running the autorouter, the problem still occurs. Clicking on the flagged trace will display its Trace Width under the [Properties] tab in th...

Changing Units doesn't auto-refresh pattern window in Component Editor

Component Editor 1) Set Units to inches and select/highlight the name of a pattern that shows dimensions. Notice that the dimension units displayed in the pattern window are in inches . 2) Use the hotkey combination [Shift] + U to change Units to millimeters . Notice that the dimension units displa...
