Re: Pattern property Height in Export?

As far as I can tell, the Height and Width are the automatically-measured extremes of the pattern (could be wrong, of course)… pp1.gif And how about this one where the silk dot is included... pp2.gif Text on the silk layer planted outside the normal pattern border (e.g. " + ") really messes up the f...

Re: component overlap not flagged

Not in the current version of DipTrace (3.3.1.3), unless their copper objects happen to collide. Supposedly, this oversight will be taken care of in the upcoming version (v4) with the addition of a "Courtyard" layer that will indicate, and allow enforcement of, pattern boundaries.

Re: router won't route GND - which is a different class than default

The only thing that comes to mind at the moment is to right-click on one of the GND pads, choose " Net Properties... " in the pop-up menu to bring up the Net Properties dialog window and make sure the Auto-route Mode: drop-list is not set to " Don't Route ". Otherwise, I'd have to take a look at you...

Re: Selective auto routing

As far as I know you can either right-click on a component (or one of a collection of highlighted/selected components) and choose " Route Traces " in the pop-up menu, or you can right-click on a single pad and choose " Route Net " in the pop-up menu. I believe this will result in the routing of the ...

Re: Tracks Ripped Up With Renew Design from Schematic (both options)

C30 , C42 , C47 , C53 and U8 have lost their links to their schematic counterparts. Run the Renew Layout from Schematic tool using the " By RefDes... " option to fix those links. After that, using the normal " By Components... " option should work fine. Don't forget to run all verification checks t...

Background colors for filled drawings - redux

Add selectable background color capabilities to the filled drawing shapes (rectangle, circle, polygon) in the Component Editor . Doing this in the Component Editor would simplify and speed up the process of enhancing component visibility in the Schematic Editor , as the component being brought into ...

Re: Import of STEP file for 3D model blinks "Importing...", but no effect

Alex, Would it be possible to add a subroutine in the beginning of your STEP file translator that would automatically strip all non-ANSI characters from the file before processing? I did that with the posted file just now ( in this instance, •€ƒ³ ) and it was accepted by DipTrace 3.3.1.3 . UPDATE: ...
