Re: Please remove the BOM feature from Schematic Capture
1. "So you are saying that you didn't prep your components" I used Sample 6, when I layout each component has all information included 2. "Then what's your problem with my asking to just remove the feature" You said it was broken, my opinion of placing a BOM into a schematic does...

Re: Please remove the BOM feature from Schematic Capture
Having never used 'Insert BOM object I tried it; Sample 6 PCB found the components were not built fully, no value, manufacture, had to change grouping to name, value from components then when I place the BOM it was useful. As far as having a BOM on a schematic while designing, never happen. If I saw...

Re: Almost unusable due to lag
I used diptrace/example/pcb6 with shape router free.dip and pcb6.dip 133 patterns as a test since everything I do is less than 50X50mm. With an i5 9th Gen, 16GB, Nvidia Quadro there is no lag in PCB view or 3D view, I only use OpenGL. For routing and switching screens it is instant, no lag. Is there...

Re: JST Connectors?
In component editor
Component/Search Parts at SnapEDA...
Enter the JST part number or just JST, click the Search ICON
You can download the component, pattern and 3D image.
I checked out JST website, it has gotten worse, even with Auto-fill on the PDF files suck.

Re: interactive bom
Save the projects BOM as a CSV, open it with Excel or a clone, modify the BOM to support assembly and print it.

Re: Export to Altium
Go ask Protel/Altium to publish an API to their library format. https://diptrace.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=14452 For years we have been asking for a universal export/import format (like dxf) for PCB software but it has never happened. ODB++ then IPC-2581 looked promising but have not been a...

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600->AMD EPYC 9654
Ram: 32GB? What speed?
GPU: 3060->Nvidia RTX 4090
Looks like a two or three year old machine.
A $12,000 CPU with a $2,300 GPU plus a motherboard should speed it up

Push and Shove ETA? Push and Shove is planned primary feature for 5.0 - upgrade for all orders starting from November 2022 will be free. Re: macOS 12 Diptrace 4.2.0.1 very laggy
Recommended System Requirements
- Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 / 8.1 / 10 (32, 64-bit); Linux(Wine); Mac OS X.
Seems like MacOS 12 isn't the same as Mac OS X but then Windows 11 is not shown yet a 23 year old OS is listed as supported XP.
