Re: Varying Pad Stacks

I just tried to create a device with square pads on top, round on bottom and a hole in the center. It imported ok to the pattern editor but the bottom pads got their own set of numbers, when I used that pattern on the PCB editor all the pads ended up being the same as the top pad... Pad stacks would...

Re: Copper Pour: clearance settings

What version of DT are you running? Mine doesn't have those options

Re: Library Search

I can set up the component library to look in "C:\diptrace\all libraries" for the 3D models if that is what you want. Or would you prefer a subfolder like "C:\diptrace\all libraries\3D"? All I need is a specific path name. Since I have done this many times before, it's a simple and quick task for m...

Re: Library Search

As always, I cannot guarantee a proper fit or fire resistance. Fire? :o I looked into the library location issues after my fiasco with diptracebeta/diptrace31 and found I could make a directory C:\diptrace\ all libraries without the usual User name:C:\Users\ Kevin \Documents\DipTrace31\My Libraries...

Re: Copper pour and a board cutout DRC error

I thought I'd seen that 0.01 somewhere; Check Verification/Clearances click 'Net Classes...' in the bottom right corner and you'll find Min. Width at 0.01, is 'Use Clearance in DRC' checked? -- 19 Jul 2017, 15:10 -- I just dropped a cutout on a PCB and fond the properties of the copper pour/ Border ...

Re: TDA2030A gain reduction for Headphone Amp

For the data sheet https://goo.gl/gxekWc instead of wondering around the endless data sheet providers Headphone Amp? That device is for driving speakers at 18 watts and push-pull at 35 watts. Here are some Headphone amps: https://www.headphone.com/collections/headphone-amps and they all have one thi...

Re: Design Rule number truncation

I get it now: I ran the auto-router with the old .152 setting which generated the errors and after I setup the Nets I still had the errors because I was still using the old trace width. I unrouted then routed with the new setting, da  .

Re: Design Rule number truncation

1) Click on Route in the Main Menu and select Net Classes... in the drop-down menu. 2) Select/highlight the appropriate Net Class name in the list on the left side of the Net Classes dialog window, click on the [Class Properties] tab, set Min. Width: to 0.1528 mm, select OK and choose Yes in the Co...

Design Rule number truncation

I did a layout that resulted in many errors but I found that internally DT is truncating 0.1528 to 0.15 then throwing a fit. The Errors: http://aaes.us/diptrace/oshrules.jpg Design Rules I: http://aaes.us/diptrace/oshrules1.jpg Design Rules II: http://aaes.us/diptrace/oshrules2.jpg Router Setup: htt...

Re: Does Diptrace have pre-made solder jumper patterns?

I ran into this issue and gave up - needed the board done so each address got it's own layout!
I just took the time to figure it out: Build a pattern:

Then Component:
