I don't see the file.
I can see why he would have a problem with this attached dxf file.

Re: 3D render - and file export

Please, lets talk about pad stacks, drawing tools for patterns and board outlines, via arrays for thermal relief in patterns, pattern->3D->component->schematic=>PCB one click sync up. You have to be able to build the board before making images or PCB's.

Re: DipTrace 3.3 Release

I posted https://diptrace.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=12801 then read this post-> DipTrace, PLEASE add the ability to place VIA's in pattern editor and Copy Array and Offset Pads! We need a means to provide thermal relief and to create rectangular thru hole pads with the hole offset and finally c...

Castlellated PCB Pattern

I had an idea this morning that I could use the pattern editor to make a pattern that could be placed on a PCB allowing the PCB to be casltellated. Start with square shape thru hole pad, set one on top the other, number one pad blank, nothing in the pad number. Copy both pads and space them, repeat....

Re: Oddly-shaped holes and pads

I found that by deleting the L shaped pads off the pattern, build them on the PCB then place a ratline between each pair, no errors. The 1.5mm gap is on the round pads they used, strange stuff, I am sending out a test PCB, at that size it's only $3 to get 3 built

Re: Oddly-shaped holes and pads

Mouser has that part and a link to the manufactures site where they provide the 3D and pattern, the pattern has issues: 1. The hole for the mounting pins isn't a hole 2. The copper around the thru-hole pins is wrong 3. The slotted holes are not slotted 4. the SMT pads are round dots! The 3D drawing ...

Small Connectors

After fighting JST PH connector 'Data Sheet' I started looking around and found Sullins SWx201 series are cost effective and they don't charge 10X prices, $0.06 a connector, PIN $0.03 - When I came across JST crimp tools I knew I was out: $1,495 and the cheapest is over $500. I use the Molex https:/...

Building a home build PCB with holes and etching the PCB is more expensive than having the boards built, spend your time learning the PCB software and 3D CAD software, life is too short.

Re: Serious rotation bug results in incorrect angle values.

U2 is screwed, I tried making U3 lose it's angle but couldn't. I guess there is a reason for my method of doing a 'pre-layout' where I have all the parts in a schematic but not wired and create a PCB with no nets. I can figure out if the parts will fit and which side they will be on. As far as I can...
