3D View missing clearance

I don't know that it's a bug or just not part of the view criteria: dt_rz.jpg The PCB layout: dt_rz1.jpg You can see the clearance around the mounting holes in the PCB layout but not in the 3D view In the Pattern Editor the 3D view shows the mounting pegs of the connector but the PCB 3D view does no...

Re: Pattern wrong in Connectors

To avoid interference fit, I would add 0.1mm clearance around the pegs , while the pegs is 1.12mm in diameter , so i would give the hole size of 1.3mm. That was weird, I had set it at 1.25mm using the model. Where did you find the 1.12mm number? The PDF I have, ItemDetail_1725656.pdf, was generated...

Component Editor suggestion

Could you please allow the Pin manager to be 'Sticky': Type, Electric, Show Names should remember the last selection and stay, or 'Sticky'. Rearrange the box order: Name -> Type-> Electric-> Show Name and then a NEXT button that can be activated with a keyboard short cut so we DON'T have to stop typ...

Re: 433MHZ JAMMER

In the US jamming Radio Frequency devices is not legal. Most high end 'drones' here use 2.4Mhz as in "Devo F12E 12-channel 2.4GHz Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum transmitter with built-in 32 channel dual antenna FPV receiver for 5.8GHz telemetry" Some controllers allow you to switch out the transmit...

Pattern wrong in Connectors

None of the Phoenix connectors had 3D data, I found the site and learned how to read Dutch then located the STEP 3D. When I imported the 3D I discovered mounting holes are needed for the 2 and 3 place terminal blocks. Pattern: TB-1x2/2.54/6x6/Sc_H 1725656 Funny thing is the drawings did not give a d...

Re: Import DXF pattern

Thanks @MonGater
It's not a fast learning process but at least I've finally figured out, sort of, the Libraries and moving patterns/components around.

Not quite sure about all of your questions, but Pad Spacing and Line Spacing are referenced to pad origins (centers). Pad Width and Height are referenced to a pad's outline (outside dimensions). Does the following illustration help?... Your example is my next issue, I copied a SOP-8/6.35X1.27 to my...

Re: Help a little shy

I should have been a little clearer: BOSCH BMF055 https://ae-bst.resource.bosch.com/media/products/dokumente/bmf055/BST_BMF055_DS000_01.pdf They seem to like strange. Weird QUAD with strange pin 1. They call it a Standard LGA I didn't think so since the horizontal and vertical pins were different si...

Help a little shy

Trying to use the Pattern Editor has been, lets say a learning experience. In the Pattern Template windows with Lines selected I have 2 lines of 4 pads, the pad spacing (PITCH I hope) is .65 but the line spacing, what can I say. Is this the spacing between the two lines of pads to: 1. the inside of ...

40 pin SMD connector blues

After trying to create a SAMTEC connector with Diptrace I imported a DXF of the land pattern. That went alright but two little problems:1. they have a stand off (round piece of copper isolated from the SMD pad) and I can't keep it from being a numbered pin doubling the number of pins from 40 to 80 a...
