Re: Outline Fill (G36, G37)

There is no update on the issue so far. We will reconsider the feature after releasing the next version.
Maybe you can search a CAM software that can make polygon conversion between raster and vector polygons.

Re: Is there a red glue layer on diptrace

By default, there are glue layers in DipTrace. But you can add custom non signal layer in PCB Layout, name it as you want and put any shapes on the layer.

Re: Tracks Ripped Up With Renew Design from Schematic (both options)

I think you ungrouped 5 parts by accident. That converted 5 patterns to primitives (pads and shapes). Instead of deleting them you could group them back into patterns (select pads and shapes and choose "Group into pattern" from submenu), then rename RefDes of grouped pattern and renew layout from sc...

Re: Import of STEP file for 3D model blinks "Importing...", but no effect

Hallo, I'm have the same problem with a step file from Panasonic (s. attachment). I removed the "hieroglyphs" (it's chinese, isn't it?), but the step does not show anyhting in pattern editor V3.3.1.1. File works in autodesk online viewer. Does the file work for anyone else? Greetings, John Thank yo...

Re: Copper pour clearance issues

Kevin sent PCB file to DipTrace support. There are two touching copper pours on the board. Both copper pours are connected to the same net, both have similar parameters except "Use net clearance" option. That is the reason of DRC errors.

Re: Prevent Pattern's mounting holes from being plated

I think you exported all holes (plated and non-plated) to single N/C drill file. Therefore all holes were made plated. I suggest to export non-plated and plated holes to different N/C drill files and name these files accordingly. Then you will get non-plated mounting holes and plated pads and vias.

Re: Sockets and BOM?

You can design custom 3D model that consists of socket and installed part together. In regards to BOM, you can add a note to value or additional field in component properties that specific socket requires one more part. When you export BOM you will see the note in the row with the socket (don't forg...

Re: Pads connected in pattern are no longer recognised as such

The feature allows to link single pin to multiple pads. But it doesn't eliminate the need to route multiple pads in PCB Layout. In other words, it allows to create more compact and clear schematic but you still need to route all pads in PCB.

Re: MacOS 10.15 Catalina Support

You should use stable version on Wine and install 32-bit version of DipTrace. Then DipTrace will work fine on Linux.

Re: How do you add extra pads to schematic tracks ?

You can add a pad directly in PCB Layout. Then you can open pad properties and click on template drop down box to choose one of standard templates. This is similar to pad library you need. Also you can edit and create new pad templates in Pattern Editor and use the same templates in both programs.
