Re: Printing problems - alignment of net and pin names

Alex,
Thanks. That fixed it and the quality is good, of course, because print (or pdf) resolution is much higher than screen.
The results are good on all devices I listed

Printing problems - alignment of net and pin names

It seems that in most cases when printing just part of a schematic page, net names and pin names have minor to major alignment problems. Verified on: win7, 64bit, HP Laserjet 4100, Oki 3200M Laser, PDF printer Variety of problems at different preview settings: 1) bus names in one case are split by t...

A full screen mode to overcome poor Windows 7 design

It would be very nice to reclaim the taskbar area that Microsoft foolishly took away from us. Auto-hide of the taskbar is a, pardon me, stupid option on Microsoft's part. This is especially important on wide screens because the aspect ratio has already reduced the vertical screen size. Most browsers...

Re: change refdes font?

It appears that you can resize now. The flow is:

1) <edit><edit selection>
2) drop a selection box around the entire board
3) <view><pattern marking>
4) have your way with it :D

Re: PCI Express PCB

If you're looking for the electronics, search for a reference design from one of the chipset or FPGA vendors like Altera or Xilinx.

If you want a complete design ready to run, good luck :P

Re: How do I quickly set component values?

In Windows, <ctrl + C> does a copy and <ctrl + V> does a paste. This really speeds thing up some times.

Re: 2.1.9.2 Beta

Hi Alex, The story that Matttay relates about connectivity problems is disturbing. Connectivity really must be job #1. Especially as the cost goes up and rework-ability goes down with layer count. That said, I won't automatically blame DipTrace either because I create my own mistakes daily and some ...

Creating multi line text with edit and format control

A quick way to create multi line text that is editable and even has format control (left, right, center) is to place a table that is 1x1. Click on the <hide the border> box and the border will not print. One nice feature is that the enter key even works as a basic carriage return without ending and c...

Re: 2.1.9.2 Beta

I agree on the 3D, although probably not a popular opinion. A capture/layout package's first priority is to make circuit boards and document them. At work we use 3D all day but with high end packages. If 3D is needed to stay competitive then I understand but would rather that most effort go into the...
