Re: Box selection of wires as well as components

I have a trick for moving wires with a box. Even bus wires can be moved this way: 1) draw a small 2D box in the area you want to move 2) select your items including this box Now that the handles are all highlighted, grab the box (it needs to be at least big enough to grab) and drag it. The entire se...

Re: schematic snap to grid

I think this is what you'r referring to, along with a temporary workaround.

It might be worth considering for a future enhancement. High end package implement this in various ways including some that highlight connections as you drag a group of wires or bus wires near IC pins or even to other wires. On release of the mouse button, the connections are made permanent. It can ...

Ability to copy, move, rotate flip wires, buses

It would be good to have the ability to select wires, net names and busses and to copy, move, rotate and flip them.

This feature would save a lot of time whenever a bus is used more than once.

If you copy a bus and wires now, when you paste them down all net names will default.

Strange move behavior for non-parts (i.e. bus, wires, names)

It is very useful to be able to copy a bus and wires and use them elsewhere in a design. I tried over and over again to group wires, names and bus but could not move them as a group. Tried to group them and that did not work either. A workaround is to place a part, ANY part, in the selected items. F...

Re: How to I rotate a schematic?

You can start by selecting <File> <Titles and Sheet setup> and select a landscape orientation sheet of a size you think it will all fit on. At this point, if you can cut wires that go to the "upper" section, that would be a big help. Select the "upper" section to be relocated to the right of the exi...

End wire or bus by double clicking, start wire by hotkey

These are just for convenience and are not critical in any way.

To end a wire or bus, double click.

To start a wire, use the "W" hotkey.

Re: Allow zoom window use at higher zoom levels

I'm running the latest but missed the <right mouse button> drag function. That definitely helps.
Thanks.

Power and ground need default net property, editable.

On a new schematic page, I noticed that ground symbols are not pre-defined as net "GND" or other GND type (i.e. GND_EARTH, GND_FRAME, etc.). You should also be able to edit this net name during use or in the component editor. optional: Make a ground or power symbol OR associated pin bring up the sam...

How to hide GND type ?

I realize that I can hide the type on one occurence and then copy it as needed.

But why does "GND" show yet other part types do not automatically show? Is there a way to control this?
