DS05 Led pattern

Here is a schematic component and pattern for the DS05 LED. Please triple check the pattern and hole size before you use it. I claim no responsibility for anything!!! :D To use the files: Open component editor, file, import, diptrace ascii, select LED.asc, and select to import it to "user components...

Re: Tented Vias

Ok, Just a quick update, what I was actually wanting done was "Via in pad". To get this done is expensive and needed to be specified as a manufacturing guideline. So as this is just for a prototype I have opted for "poor mans via in pad" for the BGA pattern :D I converted the via to a through hole p...

Re: Virus Warnings in Beta 3.0

I have also received a virus warning, but only for the component editor.
Also using Avira.

It thinks it has detected TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen

PCB, copy, paste

I have found a bug with copy and paste in 2.9.01 beta. If I have a 4 layer board with a copper pour on an inner layer, when I copy and paste the whole board in the same instance of pcb, the copper pour outline is converted to top asy. If I create a new empty layout, set up the layers and then paste,...

Re: Again importing Eagle SCH and BRD files to Diptrace

It is still linked in that you don't need to point diptrace to the schematic after you initially do when you first update by refdes. To quickly update your layout from schematic, in the pcb editor just hit alt ctrl U. You need to manually do this after making changes to the schematic and saved the u...

Re: Deleting copper pour area

There is no need to delete the shape afterwards, when you generate the gerbers the route keep out is not printed. It is more of an internal directive to the autorouter so no copper gets routed/poured. Also if you delete it and then at some point later on make further changes, the route keep out coul...

Re: Deleting copper pour area

I think you are saying that you have not been able to select the pour by clicking the boundaries or corners of the pour. Try this then: Edit > Edit Selection. Then select just Copper Pour, change the drop-down list selection if you like, and press OK. Once selected, you should be able to Delete. Ok...

Re: How to add vias, create layer and move imported dxf to 0

The vias probably would need to be exported as a drill file I suspect and imported into DT. Did you try the dxf import? You can manually add the vias, objects menu, place static via. You need to make sure in your import that the top and bottom traces were imported as top and bottom copper. to change...

PCB, dimension, point/comment

Diptrace version 2.9.01 beta
Not sure if this is a bug or not, but when placing a dimension, "point/comment", in the properties dialogue you have "arrow size". Adjusting this field does nothing. I would have expected that it would adjust the size of the dot.
