Slots in PCB - what is the optimal way?

Assuming the PCB house advises they can do say 2mm wide routing on a board (yes, many will do narrower but let's use 2mm), what is the easiest way to create a 2 mm wide polyline that maintains consistent width without having confusing end geometry? The issues i see: - if you have wide arcs it is a p...

Exporting layer stack

Me again, sorry to be a pain.

It would be helpful if the layer stack would be exportable to a file same as BOM and PnP lists. As it is now, one either re-types the info manually or then we send screen grabs to the pcb houses which is a bit meh.
Or am i missing something here?

Re: Coloring a component in the schematic

While i agree that push & shove far exceeds nice colors in practical significance, i am also sure that implementation would be a (almost) trivial thing compared to the first one. I also don't see the harm in requesting features, especially as i have no problem taking no for an answer. As far as ...

Re: Coloring a component in the schematic

Thanks for your 2 cents.
And what would the Diptrace team think of this?

Coloring a component in the schematic

Would it be a big deal to implement the feature that is so common in the other pcb cad programs, i.e. a selectable component fill color. I am a very happy user of the pcb editor trace coloring option and consider it a real benefit in helping to visually parse the network. IMO a similar benefit could...

Re: Paste mask not updated correctly from pattern editor to PCB

I did that and tweaked all the other settings as well. That did not help at all. Even very small reductions in the mask size caused the whole thing to collapse so that nothing was produced, or a couple of mask fragments in the corners. In the end i got the impression that component refresh in the sc...

Re: Paste mask not updated correctly from pattern editor to PCB

OK, mystery solved. The EMI shield needs to be grounded and doing that causes the copper fill to flood the segment gaps. For some reason this affects the paste mask so that segmantation disappears. I may be able to solve this by tweaking keepouts or something. Update: Nope, that was not it. Looks li...

Re: Paste mask not updated correctly from pattern editor to PCB

UPDATE: When i insert the pattern on a newly created, empty PCB, the resulting solder mask is correct!
I need to investigate more to ensure that my original PCB doesn't have some other issues that cause the apparent error.

Paste mask not updated correctly from pattern editor to PCB

I have created a footprint for a Würth 3670223 EMI shield enclosure, with an open solder mask and a segmented paste mask. The resulting footprint appears to be OK in the pattern editor. I then associate the footprint with a component - no issues there. Then use the component in a schematic that is t...

Re: Image/logo in title block editor

Sorry, i don't mean that the graphics is corrupted in any way. Rather, the image being part of the schematic, not the title, is zoomed along the schematic and thus drifts out of the title box as well as changes in size.
So changing the graphics mode would not do anything useful?
