Re: Problem with dsn export to Freerouting
Hello,
Professor Chaos
You state
"I do know about the Diptrace autoroute, but Freerouting seems to do a better job "
What precisely is " Better job " ?? Any specific detail(s) are of interest.
Thank you,

Re: Folder structure for libraries
I too agree: the libraries structure is totally confused. This one area needs rework, long ignored.

Re: Printing PCB
I use a HP2600n laser printer to print on 3m film. Needed 1:1 is not an issue; I can reliably print 0.007 in traces on the film used as a photo mask for one off double side PCB's.
Printing has never been an issue with the HP printers (several, all laser)

Re: Inserting Filename into PCB
Lets consider this; you request "I want to be accessible are __FILENAME__, __DATE__, __FULLDATE__ (date with time), __DESIGNATOR__ (part refdef), __VERSION__ (pcb version), ...."
This is almost absurd - simple text that relates to PNxxx (part number) Revision XXX is noted on the sch and board file ...

I have seen similar as you state, but with some difference. I have win10 64 bit, SSD drives. Windows update often causes a problem opening a working file closed just prior to the win update. For me, this is old news - will further detail if any feedback ...
