Re: Backward compatibility with v3.3 ?
I understand that the DP team has truly difficult times now due to a brutal aggression against their country and might not be able to follow this forum. But somebody in the community outside of Ukraine might have experience migrating from older versions 3.x . Can somebody share that experience? Are ...

Backward compatibility with v3.3 ?
Hello , please advice are there any possible incompatibility issues possible if upgrading the older v3.3.1.3 Standard version to the current Standard as of today? I would have to migrate all schematics, PCB layouts and accumulated custom component libraries. Does new version convert all of that to a...

Re: Are there plans for native Diptrace on Linux ?
Thank you Alex for update. I've seeing quite a number of complaints on this forum related to running DP over Linux/wine. This might be related to the older versions of DP and Wine , prior to the current DP version.
Thanks again

Are there plans for native Diptrace on Linux ?
Hi, quite large body of the EE developers are working on Linux these days. Especially developers of networks and also embedded IoT. Diptrace is one of the popular and (for me) non-replaceable tool which ties us back to Windows. I'm wondering if Diptrace team is considering eventually to do porting n...

Re: pattern origin - pick and place - "How To" generate
Although this thread started long ago, the search of people brings them here again. So I got here for the same reason and the end of this thread left more confusion. I want to bring clarification for those who will come here again. DT must take into consideration the silk layers and copper layers, a...

Re: Reusing old layout in a new hierarchy - almost there!
Seems to me Diptrace team ignored this. I am not aware of any changes on this. It's a pity - this tool is so close to a fully reusable layout implementation, so little to be done and no interest

Re: Property Popup window does not fit into the screen
That uploaded screenshot also shows another graphics related problem : top toolbar has double vertical size. Both problems show up in both monitors and irrelevant of the size of the main window (custom or a full screen). If I close and restart DT - both problems vanish ... until somehow starts again...

Property Popup window does not fit into the screen
Environment : Windows 10 , DT v3.2.0.1 standard , I am using two monitors: one in laptop, another is external. Diptrace schematic main windows fits fine both in custom size and in fitting all the screen. The property popup window pops-up to the top with it's top area beyond the screen area. The resu...

Re: Copper Pour Clearances
At the moment, highest priority is applied for new copper pour because zero priority is set by default. But if we change priority order, designer will need to open properties of all adjacent copper pours to find highest priority number and set +1 for new copper pour. Designer does not have to open ...

Re: Copper Pour Clearances - consider the intuitive solution
I think fixing DT behavior towards the obvious meaning of the word "priority" will be the simplest and intuitive solution (after all DT is unique in PCB design market exactly for this same reason: it is indeed more intuitive than other tools) : 1. the highest priority pours are poured firs...
