I bring back an old post but I think that the ability to import DXF in the component editor is lacking.
Can you implement that feature to the Component Editor ?
However, I think that under "Objects" menu makes no sense, just put under "Library>Import" menu.
Cheers.

Variants support in schematic.
Hi there, I think that a great features would be to get support for BOM ''variants'' in the schematic. That simply means, one PCB which can have one or many BOM variants. The great things about variants is that you all have them in the same schematic files and you don't have to have multiple copy of...

Re: configurable colors for copper pours
I would rather go with hatched and dot patterns for copper pour instead of solid color.

Re: Panelize is duplicating text
I've tried adding a new "Notes" layer, but it also gets panelized. Is there a layer or technique I can use to print the text of fabrication notes, contact info, title block, etc, without panelizing, even though the layout is? Thanks, Gerrit Yes there is one feature for that. 1. anelize yo...

Diptrace 4.0 Beta - DXF Import & Fill Close Area
I have a question about ''DXF import''. In Diptrace 3, when importing DXF and checking the 2 checkbox ''Fill closed areas'' and ''Embedded Polygons'' its look like it only works for copper and soldermask layer. The ''Fill'' feature does not work if you import your outlined shaped on a silkscreen lay...

Re: New Release 3.x or 4.0?
AMAZING! Guys you did an great job with that list of improvement !
This will greatly improve the productivity. I'm just excited to get my hands on that upgrade
However I have a question about feature 5. Pad terminal. Does it means pads for castellated PCB ?

Re: New Release 3.x or 4.0?
Development is alive. Major update is on the way: main development line (36 new features) already completed - currently we test, polish and fix issues. The core and data structure has been redesigned so we still upgrade import/export features to let them work correctly with new design structure. An...

a) Same Signal on multiple Pins/pads: On this chip there are a few different signals such as Ground and 3.3V pins, that normally when I say connect all of the GND pins to the GND net, the system will want to run etch between all of these pins... Is there now some way to say there is an internal con...
