I would like to place a non-polarized capacitor( ceramic capacitors) in between V1 and R1. Is it possible to replace the non-polarized capacitor with two polarized (electrolytic capacitors) C1 and C2 shown in the diagram above?

Yes, you can certainly use non polarised electrolytics as long as you respect their voltage ratings. But WHY would you want to do this other than 470uF electrolytics are far cheaper than ceramic caps of the same value.....come to think of it, do they even make ceramics that big?
Another factor to consider before changing them is the environment they re used in. Electrolytics dry out over time and the hotter the location the faster they will dry out. Second, the casing of the electrolytic is aluminum and that my cause issues in sensitive RF applications
