JST Connectors?
I'm looking for some common JST connectors, it's hard to believe nobody has created a library of these parts, they're very common! I use the EH, PH, and ZH ones a lot, and I end up just leaving a header with the correct spacing for the connector. I see these connectors on a host of products, so I know they have to be pretty mainstream.
Re: JST Connectors?
DipTrace has a few of the JST "PH" style connectors in their Con Headers library if that helps. Just run a component search using "JST" for the Manufacturer.

Re: JST Connectors?
Thanks, I usually use the EH ones, but I could be convinced to use the PH ones on projects if they're already made. I like the 3D models for visualizing the board, they're a lot harder than making the parts.
Re: JST Connectors?
The EH series can be found here - http://www.jst-mfg.com/product/detail_e.php?series=58. At the bottom of the page, click on Further Information to retrieve the datasheet and click on "3D Data" to access the related 3D STEP files.

Re: JST Connectors?
Once you get these files, how to you import them to DipTrace?
Re: JST Connectors?
Attaching a 3D model to an existing custom pattern
1) Store STEP files in your custom library folder, typically C:\Users\[user name]\Documents\DipTrace\My Libraries. I prefer to keep my 3D models in a subfolder named "3D" located inside the My Libraries folder.
2) Launch the Pattern Editor, select the User Patterns library group, choose the appropriate custom library and select the desired custom pattern.
3) In the Pattern Properties dialog window, click on the [3D Model...] button.
4) In the 3D Model dialog window, click on the [ ... ] button to the right of the 3D Model File: text entry box.
5) In the Open dialog window, navigate to the custom 3D folder mentioned in step 1 above, select/highlight the desired STEP file and click on Open.
6) In the 3D Model dialog window (the path name should now be present in the 3D Model File: text entry box), click on the [Load Model] button and, if necessary, adjust the position of the model in the 3D Model Properties area.
7) Select OK.
8) Finally, click on the Save Library icon located in the Standard Toolbar.

Thanks guys, I think I'll create some JST connectors.

Re: JST Connectors?
Well, I finally went to the JST site, what a PITA! You have to type in a bunch of stuff for EACH connector! Are they kidding?

Re: JST Connectors?
Still looking to create some JST-EH and JST-ZH connectors, but apparently accessing the 3D data is still a monumental PITA! Is there any other source for these files?
Re: JST Connectors?
I found these (specified as JST-EH):
https://grabcad.com/library/jst-eh-2-5m ... tor-pack-1
Didn't immediately see anything for JST-ZH. Maybe what you need is here?
https://grabcad.com/library/tag/jst?pag ... ort=recent
I don't have any experience with JST, however, some manufacturers don't show their 3D models on their web site but will often supply them when asked.
