As requested, attached is the pattern / footprints for the 7-segment displays I have on GrabCAD (currently 8 in total).

Thanks for sharing. The STEP files seem to be missing.

In DipTrace's default "Display" library, the refDes is "DS", not "SEG". Perhaps use the same refDes?

For "1-Digit Standard 0.5"", it might be better to call it something like DIP-10/12.4x17.5. Different manufacturers have different dimensions for 7-seg display (e.g. this, this, and this)

I knew I was going to regret posting the patterns.

STEP files are available on GrabCAD as mentioned.

I want SEG displayed on my silkscreen, hence why I used it. It would take all of 5 seconds to rename each one and alter the refDES. I only posted them to ease the time to make the footprint dimensions and pins.

If you download the STEP files, please don’t blame me for having to alter the directory that they are residing on too!

austfox, please don't regret it. Pattern for LED and display components are frequently asked here. It's a good thing someone starts a topic with actual patterns.

Attached is a modified version of the original library. I added pattern for Lumex LDS-A516RI and Lite-On LSHD-5601 single-digit display.

For the two patterns and MAN74A, I have added an assembly layer with graphic of the actual display. The character can very in height, width, segment thickness, and angle. I think it's preferable to be able to visualize the display in layout. Of course, it's more work to make the graphic.

I have created a Google Sheet spreadsheet for calculating the vertices of the polygons. Feel free to copy and use

I changed all refDes to "DS". I cleaned the layout so the first layer contains all the pads, the second layer the silkscreen, and the third layer assembly drawing.
