Just a few things that still drive me nuts though;
- Copy/paste components not at position cursor.
Copy/paste is possible at cursor position too (right click submenu). If that is not it, please provide more details.
Are you also planning to export to KiCad files?
Yes, we plan. In 3.3 we have added full Eagle export, full KiCAD export is in our further plans.

Correct, when pasting with the mouse right click, it works fine.
I was talking about when using keyboard shortcuts (ctrl+v)

Really great about exporting KiCad!

In this case we will not use cursor position as it may confuse the design due to its possible random position.
Yes, it may work for some users, but not for all.

Yes, that is really understandable, although I have to say that it's not very common.
Pretty much all CAD and EDA programs I worked with pasting components at the cursor position (there is no difference between mouse click and using ctrl-v)

May I ask to make this maybe configurable?
Or at least make it possible with another/secondary short-cut key or so?
Since this is already possible by clicking the mouse, that would be a very easy quick fix.

(By default it just pastes as it is now and the other opinion isn't being used)

I have added separate hotkey for pasting at cursor position (not assigned by default). Will appear in the next update of beta (Wednesday Oct 17)

What is the preferred update method? Uninstall and reinstall or install over previous?

Beta version is installed with different program folder by default, common folders, registry keys, etc (you can use both stable version and beta on the same computer with different settings).
For stable version uninstall and reinstall is better to remove outdated files, however in any case it will work properly.

We have published the latest DipTrace 3.3 beta.
great news! thx

Can I ask to add to Diptrace Schematic such lifehacks:

1. Have the ability to change the color of the block in the schematic.
Example: https://i.imgur.com/JVMZB0l.png

2. Make transitions when crossing conductors.
Example (in red box): https://i.imgur.com/pzUVg5K.png

This is not hard to do, but it will bring many benefits to those who use Diptrace Schematic. I w8 this from 2.0...

These things are new features, not fixes. Color is not hard, but it requires format change and in-depth tests as it touches other features.
Transitions is not easy task (finding conductor crosses with matrix + how to work if you have many crosses in single place, etc + all that in real-time + tests).
I like these features and will add them to to-do, but they can not be made in frame of bug fixing right before release.
