DipTrace 4.0 Release
Re: DipTrace 4.0 Release
Hello why are the photos vectorized now? And is it possible to deactivate this?
Re: DipTrace 4.0 Release
I'm on a mac, and all around the new features are really great (especially with regard to IPC footprints and 3D models).
One issue I have though, is that the screen now renders blurry! This is the case in schematic and pcb layout. It seems like you changed the way you dither or interpolate due to various zoom levels, but it's actually a bit distracting and less useful than it was in version 3. It is distracting enough that I find myself using version 3 still for most tasks, unless I have a huge board (version 3 would sometimes not update the display if I had too many copper pours) or if need to do detailed 3D model. Is there any hope of this going back to the way it was?

Also please let me know Mac OS version and display resolution. Do you have the problem when you do smaller DipTrace window and then maximize it again?
Re: DipTrace 4.0 Release
thanks for the reply!
Diptrace version 4.0.0.3
MacOS version 10.14.6
Retina display 2880 x 1800 at 220 ppi
changing the window size does not have an effect.

Re: DipTrace 4.0 Release
ah, another issue I've had is the the Diptrace.app brings up an error saying '“DipTrace” is damaged and can’t be opened. You should move it to the Trash."
I'm able to get around this with some annoying terminal action, but it would be nice for future versions to not need that. Just downloaded 4.0.0.5, the problem is still here.

Don't rename DipTrace.app and execute xattr command in terminal. Ignore errors that appear in terminal. Then start DipTrace, the first start take as while.
