new computer

#1 Post by hmlittle59 » 20 Jun 2018, 16:20

Hello Alex,

I am a registered user and I am setting up my new computer at this time. I'm a single Owner and want to know if I will have to purchase a new Diptrace Lite?

Thanks
Howard

Hello Howard

You don't need to buy new license. Register DipTrace on new computer using existing registration data.

Hello Alex,

Very time consuming trying to get even more stuff connected/reconnected on this BIGGER / BETTER computer

Found my registration code...did it... done...

But now the last PCB worked on in Diptrace is showing (file blocked from modification w/date...do you want to load)...short version... I say yes, but nothing loads.
NOTE: I date the file name with the new (date/day). The previous file will load up.
WHY the block?

thanks

Hello Howard,

When DipTrace file is opened additional hidden file with tildas in file name is created. When DipTrace file is closed the file with tildas is removed. If something went wrong the file with tildas remains. You need to find and delete the file with tildas to retrieve full rights to edit DipTrace file. Please notice, the file with tildas is in the same folder as DipTrace file. It is hidden file, you need to use file manager or enable showing hidden files in Windows explorer.
