Diptrace is damaged and can't be opened

Trying to install DipTrace on Mac OS Catalina. I copy the dmg file to Applications, run the command line script but then every time I try to run the package I'm getting an error message saying "DipTrace is damaged and can't be opened". I've downloaded the file 4 times and also successfully verified the image using Disk Utility.

Any tips?

What version of Mac OS Catalina is on your machine?
If you renamed DipTrace.app or app name has spaces then xattr command doesn't work correctly. For example, if you renamed DipTrace.app to DipTrace_4.0.0.2.app (spaces are not allowed!) you need to modify xattr command: xattr -rd com.apple.quarantine /Applications/DipTrace_4.0.0.2.app

Hi. I am experiencing exactly the same problem. Have downloaded the .dmg file numerous and and run the command lie script, only to get exactly the same results. How did you manage to get it working in the end please? Did you rename it to the suggested DipTrace_4.0.0.2.app. Thanks

If you rename DipTrace.app new name shouldn't have spaces. Exactly the same name must be used in xattr command line.
