Schematic information Parts count

#1 Post by TANK » 14 Jan 2018, 19:50

When you click File>Schematic Information....
Wondering why the schematic parts count is wrong! It appears to be including power ports in its calculation. Power ports are just nets not parts. It would be much better if it counted just the actual parts.

Netports are counted as parts in File -> Schematic Information. However net port pins are not counted, that is important for those who don't have Full Edition.

I would consider this is bug. I've used other software (protel99) and it count parts correctly. I am a licensed user and I'm not concerned about pin count. I do want it to count parts only as it should be expected.

We will consider the issue, thank you.
At the moment, you can export bill of materials from Schematic program and count component number in BOM table.
