assigning gates from a multigate IC like 4093

#1 Post by whershey » 18 Jun 2018, 11:35

I'm using a CD4093 quad NAND gate. From copying existing instances of a gate I ended up with multiple ICs with many unused gates. I'd like to reassign the gates so that fewer ICs are used. How can I do this? thanks

Right click on the gate in question, select Properties. Change the 'RefDes', the 'Part RefDes' and the 'Part Name'. Probably going to take some work depending on how many gates you copied. Not a lot of fun...
