120V power conventions

#1 Post by Chelmite » 20 Jan 2020, 16:25

I have to route 120V power: "hot", "neutral", and some switched variants on those that will sometimes carry up to 120V.

What's the best way to designate these, relatively, high voltages?

Create a netclass in "Objects -> Net Classes", add high voltage nets to that net class and specify sufficient clearance to withstand high voltage. In PCB Layout, comply with net class clearance when you route the board.

I was wondering if Net Class supported Color, nope, but I did discover trace segment layer! I really have to spend more time with the manual...
