Importing ExpressPCB .SCH to DipTrace

#1 Post by WA2SQQ » 30 Mar 2021, 05:24

I friend of mine shared a schematic .SCH file he created in Express PCB. Is there any way to convert this to the .DCH format that DIPTRACE uses? I'm new to the PCB process, so please forgive me if this is a common question.

Not that I know of. If I remember correctly, the "free" ExpressPCB software is proprietary and locks you into using only their manufacturing facility so I guess you could say that the software really isn't free after all. I'm sure they do their best to prevent their proprietary files from being translated into a different format, otherwise the ExpressPCB business model might collapse.
